Israelis flying to Florida for Islamic Jihad trial
Isn't it interesting how FLORIDA seems to pop up in current events? Remember those chads? Remember President Bush at the Emma E. Booker Elementary School in Sarasota, Florida, on September 11, 2001? All those godforsaken hurricanes. Oh yeah, Disney World is there. Not to mention heartbreaking sex crime cases involving murdered children.
Now, Haaretz reports that 100 Israeli Terror victims are to be flown to the Sunshine State to serve as prosecution witnesses in the trial of 4 Arab-Americans accused of terror links...(MORE)
Haaretz says "...The Israeli witnesses, flying to Florida at the expense of the U.S. government, include survivors of terror attacks going back to 1989..." Haaretz identifies the lead defendant in the case as Sami al-Arian, a University of South Florida computer engineering professor. Also on trial are Sameeh Hammoudeh, Hatim Naji Fsariz and Ghassan Zayed Ballut.
Jury selection begins this week. The trial starts June 6th.
