Blog on Blog

As the art/science/industry of BLOGGING becomes more prominent, people naturally are yearning to learn more about the folks AUTHORING the blogs. The MSM (Main-Stream-Media) is from time-to-time awakened to blogging. In the United States the political blogs continue to make their mark (as they did in Rathergate) while in other parts of the world, personal blogs more often than not take center stage. When the MSM goes trolling for blogs, they do it NOT from the perspective of a BLOGDER (that's a blog reader in Xiaxue's Dictionary) but in the manner which average Jane or Joe who may have heard about blogging but has never laid eyes on a blog might comprehend. "Blogs have come a long, long way, but despite all the hype, they still reach a tiny audience compared to MSM outlets."

Most of the time the personal bloggers do a great job of introducing themselves, while political bloggers remain more aloof. I think I am in the middle. Capital Region People delves into news and events affecting people in the Northeastern USA. When I noticed people from other countries were regularly visiting the blog I began to include topics of interest to the collective "blogosphere."

Here is a promising blog: Caveat: a lot of "promising blogs" I discover go dormant after a few entries. Blogging does take a little time and has to be included in one's daily schedule. Sometimes a short hiatus (like what happened with Ambra Nykola when she was called to jury duty) turns into "BLOGGERS BLOCK" - "In case it isn't painfully obvious: I'm burned out. Not badly, but I am nonetheless. Anytime Beyonce I-have-a-fake-French-name Knowles and her posse can give lap dances to married man on national television without me even saying so much as a word about it on my weblog, is a bad sign. I need a vacation..." (More)

Every day, whether I blog or not, there are a few blogs that I faithfully read during lunch or break. One of them is Michelle Malkin and it is via her blog we find a blog dedicated to interviewing other bloggers! HERE is the link.

As for personal blogs, Jin is my favorite. Absolutely true stories that you might have thought could only happen to you or that interesting someone you know. You have to start with Jin's archives and get to know her a little bit. After that, whenever you stop by her blog it's like visiting an old friend: always stories, tales and news to catch up on!

Coming Soon: I have completed an interview with the infamous "naked blogger," SingaporePartyGirl. Her name is Izzy, and she's not the big bad dragon lady Asian media has portrayed her as!
