Peter Jennings: Death Approaches

No one lives forever. We all must die one day. This is a fact. Sometimes it is hard to fathom when news arrives that a familiar face is or will soon be gone. Television industry blogs are posting news regarding a report that ABC affiliates are preparing for the death of Peter Jennings, who was diagnosed with lung cancer in April.

"...Lung cancer is a bitch; I knew he was a dead man the second he went public with it..." - crazedloner

Peter Jennings was a career role model for me. A handsome man, well-dressed, articulate, poised. [whimsical chuckle] Everything I'm not. Some say the network-TV anchorman is a dying breed, anyway. I don't know about that. There still are a few good role models out there, like talk-show host Sean Hannity. (more on Peter Jennings from Michelle Mallkin) One could say Peter Jennings is the ABC equivalent of Walter Cronkite. Jennings made his mark, and whether you agreed with his politics or not, he will never be forgotten. Thank-you, Mr. Jennings.
