Blog On The Run
This is awesome! I'm on the train from New York to Albany, blogging via the laptop my friend let me borrow 'cos she's going away for Thanksgiving week! Just to being y'all up to speed: Capital Region People Blog has now been in existence for ONE YEAR! Hooray! I'm not gonna go back and count the lives lost or re-cap the events that shaped our lives over the past year... but I WILL tell you that the most-read posts on this blog are as follows (and you can use the Technorati box at the top right hand column to search for any one of them!):1- Any post having to do with Beth Geisel
2- Any post having to do with XiaXue ("Beauty of the Blog" was #1)
3- Any post having to do with Sister Furong and/or Mu Zimei
4- Ramadan 2005 - I'm not sure why, but this particular post was hit hundreds of times a day during Ramadan.
5- (tie) Fulla (the Barbie-style doll for Muslim girls)
and "A Young Girl's Response to Anti-Islamic Sentiment"
6- Any post having to do with the Armanious Family Murders
7- (tie) Any post about Lynx & Lamb
Any post about Taylor Behl
8- Any post about Gretchen Perham
9- Any post that mentions my friend Izzy a/k/a Sarong Party Girl
10-there is no #10- everything else blends together
I want to say THANK-YOU to my two favorite bloggers, Michelle Malkin and Wendy Cheng! Two ladies, on opposite sides of the planet, blogging their hearts and passions out in two very different styles on very different topics. But you know what? They write their blogs, and they write them SO WELL. Both of you ladies have inspired me... I also must thank MasterMaq for his assistance in my early blogging days as well as Lores Rizkalla, and Iris Tan.
If you love murder mysteries, you want to bookmark planet huff... but today I found the most interesting non-crime-related post "(Not About Crime...) I Never, Ever, Ever Talk About This Stuff..." and then just below it, a post about Kara Borden opening a new Xanga blog (which may be a hoax) at http://www.xanga.com/KaraBerry.
If you're like me you've got zillions of digital photos on your PC and on disks and CDS and a big boxful of undeveloped disposable cameras. I know a lot of you are tired of being stuck as the group or family "photographer" or "videographer." Sometimes it's best to forget all the picture-taking nonsense and just go and have fun! And that is exactly where LINDSAY ROBERTSON is coming from in this wonderful post "Why Cameras Are Ruining Everything: A Manifesto" on her Lindsayism Blog!
Cute Kimberlycun: I've been wondering where she's been. She hasn't left any of her acid remarks in my comments for a few days... Well, I found her! She's found somebody else to pick on for now: She's left a few choice comments ON MINISHORTS BLOG.
