Here is where you'll find all of my blog entries written prior to late Summer 2006. It's also a good site to test the strength of your pop-up blockers!

Duh! Duh! Duh!

(Background: Duh!)

Just when you thought it couldn't get much worse: word on the street is that the students who assaulted an Albany High English teacher ripped the wig off the poor woman's head and beat her with it... now, I can't confirm THAT, however, the Times Union reports that one of the students who participated in the in-classroom assault is 16-year old Laquetta Alexander (pictured), the daughter of new SCHOOL BOARD MEMBER Jacqueline Jenkins-Cox. The newspaper says "...Jenkins-Cox, who is the director of the city-run Arbor Hill Community Center, did not return a telephone call left at her home for comment. Jenkins-Cox, 33, was elected to the school board in November as the only winner in a three-candidate slate backed by Mayor Jerry Jennings.

During the campaign, Jenkins-Cox and the other candidates on the Jennings' slate ignored requests for media interviews and did not take part in the sole candidate forum before the election..."

Where is the outrage, people? Why aren't the officials stepping forward? Courage, please! If you want to read the entire newspaper story it's right HERE.

And if that's not enough to totally screw up your day, how about this, by way of Michelle Malkin:
A judge in BURLINGTON, VERMONT gives a child rapist a two-month sentence because he "no longer believes that punishment works"

--- and --- one more for good measure from the T-U:
Man tries to lure 11-year-old boy into car this morning in Watervliet
