Hey Blogger! S-O-S!

You may remember last summer Xiaxue's website was hacked and hijacked. There is nothing short of a physical assault that could shake a blogger to his or her toes as much as losing the beloved weblog... I've often toyed with the idea of switching to WordPress or TypePad or Radio, but the folks at blogger have been really good IMHO. But, there are exceptions, like when those hijackings happen... Michelle Malkin has a post up about fellow-blogger Betsy Newmark, who has lost her pages. Sensible Mom asks: Could Blogger's system and security procedures be so lame that any time a blog is down, another person can set up a blog with the same address and immediately own it? How about it, Blogger? Can we get some answers here? Folks, back-up your blogs whenever you can, however you like... just DO it!
