Hillary Clinton: Road to the White House I

As the Bush administration begins to wind down, one thing is obvious. No matter what your political inclination or affiliation may be, you have a problem with the Bush administration. Some of you still question the events surrounding 9/11. Others have a hard time accepting the War in Iraq. Others have problems with the environment or the oil or the economy. Then there's those who have issues with the Vice President. Collectively, each "problem" links one citizen with another and another, until you have a wave of individuals who don't know it, but they are all unified against the current power structure (the Republicans). Avain Flu may materialize and wipe out a significant number of us. A nuclear weapon could possibly be detonated and destroy an American city. A pulse bomb could wipe out our computer systems and data records. Even if our numbers dwindle, a smaller sample will still yield the same result: barring the spectacular, the Republican ride is likely over. The picture accompanying this post was borrowed from Michelle Malkin. Another "problem" for the Republicans, actually TWO if you read deeply enough into Ms. Malkin's post: People marching in the streets, which is usually not a good thing for the powers that be, and SPEAKERS speaking out against said powers, in this case, Ms. Malkin, daring to speak out, correcting President Bush's "take" on our collective "situation" : She blogs: "We are not a "nation of immigrants." This is both a factual error and a warm-and-fuzzy non sequitur. Eighty-five percent of the residents currently in the United States were born here. Sure, we are almost all descendants of immigrants. But we are not a "nation of immigrants... Is the White House capable of responding to these realities without accusing its critics of xenophobia, racism, and immigrant-bashing? Based on past experience, I highly doubt it." .:Read the Post:. The things that drew America to the Republican Party have become the things that will sever those ties. Others are awakening. They are here and here and here and most of all here.
