Here is where you'll find all of my blog entries written prior to late Summer 2006. It's also a good site to test the strength of your pop-up blockers!

Lebanon vs. Israel - conflict continues, as does the flap over some doctored Reuters photos, which may turn out to be just the icing on a much bigger cake - Check out this post on Rightwinged.com (if you're on dial-up this page will take a few minutes to load: have a cup of coffee!) and scroll down to the LEBANESE MYSTERY WOMAN section. Blogger Randy shows you exactly what investigative citizen journalism is capable of! Bravo, Randy!

Michelle Malkin isn't letting go of this fake photo thing: in "Reuters: The clone stamp news service" she challenges the mainstream media... (ya gotta read MM's post!)

$4 a gallon gasoline - I predicted it would be here by the end of August, hoping I'd be wrong, but word today that the USA's oil refinery in Alaska is partially shutting down is sending visions of dollar$igns to the heads of greedy big oil execs. The aging Alaskan equipment is breaking down. 8% of our supply will dry up. There will be no shortage of dry eyes at Ford and GM, as every 50-cent increase in the price of gasoline drives another nail into their corporate coffins.

Old car enthusiasts are excited when it comes to the anticipated death of Fidel Castro. They seem to think the dictator's demise will give them the green light to travel to Cuba and pick up some antique automobiles on the cheap. Say what you will about Castro's Cuba, we could learn a LOT of lessons from Cubans, as they've amazingly kept US cars from 1940s and 1950s running daily! That despite the choking trade block the US imposed on Cuba!

As far as PEOPLE in the news this morning, there goes JLO pulling out the movie Dallas because she's preganant. She was to have played Sue Ellen Ewing opposite John Travolta's JR. Why do they bother re-making old TV shows into movies? Doesn't anybody have any original ideas?

Floyd Landis interviewed on CBS - talk about denial - continues to say he never juiced up before or during the big bike race. The Tour de France winner keeps insisting he never used any illegal substance. "There are multiple explanations as to why this could have happened..." Think: "I did not have sex with that woman." I once had a friend who had the ability to pull off amazing illegal things you or I would have been locked away for. I asked "What is your secret?" to which he replied "Deny, deny, deny!"

Natalee Holloway vanished 14 months ago and hasn't been seen since. Rachel Cooke left home for a morning jog and never returned. Similar to the Suzy Lyall case, in that there is no explanation, no closure. Perhaps these young women were beamed away by an intergalactic presence. How can you simply cease to exist with no trace left behind?

Looking good: Avril Lavigne, gracing the cover of ELLE Quebec.

Locally, all eyes are back on the Christopher Porco Murder Trial down in Goshen. I have nothing to add to the discussion until the case concludes.

In the Blogosphere:

Michelle Malkin announcing today that Ian Schwartz, formerly of Expose the Left, has joined the team at Hot Air. "Keywords" are out, "Tags" are in. ("...in principle they are the same. Keywords are outdated, oldfashioned.") That's what they say, anyway! I'm moving to a new blog... it's time for a change... more details to appear toward the end of this week!
