Here is where you'll find all of my blog entries written prior to late Summer 2006. It's also a good site to test the strength of your pop-up blockers!

Monday Morning Roundup

Good Day! As you poke your way around the Net and thru the blogosphere during your current session, you may want to keep this window open and click on each of the links below!

A cease fire is in effect in the Middle East conflict. Lebanon is reeling from a good infrastructural ransacking. These kinds of ceasfires have proven fragile at best in the past. Ever wonder what it is like to be an "ordinary" Muslim, living in a place like Jordan? Great post just about that on Roba Al-Assi's Andfaraway weBlog.

While in the Middle East (and if you like kittycats) stop by 15-year old Raghda Zaid's "Baghdad Girl" Blog!

For the first time since her release, Jill Carroll is speaking out about her days as a captive of a jihadist movement in Iraq. She was held for 82 days before being released in March. 4 Iraqis have been arrested in connection with Carroll's kidnapping.

PsychoPorco: Almost as soon as Christopher Porco was convicted of killing his father and attempting to murder his mother, he was being labelled as a nut case. Christopher Porco's mother visited him in jail as many as three times since Friday.

Rick James' final impression: A massive two ton jet-black tombstone, bearing an image of the funk legend clad in tight pants, jacket and clutching a guitar, was erected earlier this month at his grave site in Buffalo, NY... photo and more at tmz...

A must-read from the pages of Saturday's New York Times: The Spoils of Victimhood by Thomas Frank (filling in for Maureen Dowd). As blogger Seth put it in B12: "How is possible for the right wingers to fulminate against the government, corporations, and bureaucrats when the right wing controls all of these sectors, plus much of the media? Or more precisely, how do they do it with a straight face."

Why can't we all just get along? The Jawa Report relays the sad story of Angelo Frammartino, a young man who had a vision of peace...

Another school sex scandal story is breaking out of Texas: "Beaumont Police Detectives are investigating allegations that there was a secret sex club at Ozen High School that involved students, alumni and possibly even an employee of the school..." (more from KFDM-TV)

HOT on del.icio.us right now: FlickrStorm, a better search for Flickr!

This is my final post at this URL. Capital Region People will now serve as an archive site. I'm moving to a new blog. I've already been running Dave Lucas' Notes in tandem with CRP, and as of now that is where I'll be posting new articles. For those blogders living in countries that filter out or ban blog*spot or blogger services, I've set up a mirror blog on blogHi! Best part about these new blogs: NO POP-UPS! So change your bookmarks and email your friends!

This week Michelle Malkin is talking a vacation from blogging and promises an interesting mix of "guest-bloggers" to keep blogders informed. MM has an interesting post about a little girl being denied a passport application because of her photograph.

In the past two years CRP has been running on blogger (a usually awesome service, for being FREE!), the biggest traffic attractions have always been female in nature. Not surprisingly, my post of Fergie's "London Bridge" video has been attracting over a hundred visitors every day for the past week or more! Go figure! I've posted several videos in the past, but none has drawn so many visitors. Beth Geisel remains the "single day" champion for attracting over 19-thousand hits to CRP in just one day. Other ladies who have taken turns attracting traffic in various numbers are Xiaxue, FRJJ, Muzi Mei and Lina Sinha. If I left anyone out, sorry!

Speaking of videos, theregisterco.uk has an article up entitled "10 Ways To Make YOU a YouTube Star." Might as well jump on the YouTube bandwagon NOW, because YOU KNOW that there's some other new craze or fad lurking just around the corner!
